kick bins was created by anjmoor
thanks to everyone here I have contracted this strange need to build more speakers since The Cubo sub build, now I have a couple of weeks off very soon and really cannot decide on which kick bins are going to be best suited to a single cubo 15 a side plus a mid top each side. just remember I am not a big rig kind of guy but feel that building kicks and mid tops will keep me nice and busy in my time off and keep my mind off the fact that I have just given up smoking lol. any suggestions from those who have tried the tested versions will be most welcome.

why not have a go at designing your own..... a good start would be to scale down the es18 to a 15..... then change the dimensions slightly to fit on top of you subs.....

Seeing as this kick cab is going to be a sealed chamber how much does this affect the 15" driver with regards to the stresses it may cause to the driver? If i scale down to a 12 would a 12 even produce a kick worthy of a cubo 15 sub?

Ok I have settled on a 20% reduction of the 18" for a 15" version not too sure which 15" driver is going to best suit this cab and not sure what wattage is going to be best matched to my 500 watt cubo sub, am going to start a 15" es during the week. I dont have any spare 15" drivers so will have to order one this week. Let the fun begin

Have some concerns about the size of the horn at its thinnest point where the rear diagonal brace is after 20% size reduction and have opened it back up a little as it loked far too narrow.

the smallest you want to go would be about 120mm..... by scaling it down this measurment wont change much......

Drawing up a cut sheet tonight and am gonna grab a sheet of mdf on the way back from work tomorrow. Should have a cab ready for testing saturday evening or sunday morning. I am adjusting the cab to sit neatly on top of a cubo 15, it will be inyeresting to see how high this will play as a scaled down version. Did i read correctly that the es 15 willl need to be reverse wired ?
