if you port that cab, that space will be not wasted.

To begin with, would prefer simple non ported 7ft horn version, relying on driver, chamber, horn length
to get low end extension, and comparing to Quake/WSX.

Porting could possibly be an idea for 2nd revision ?

WSX has small amount of wasted area, so I'm guessing it's not such an issue if minimal.

the C horn layout cause wasted space because there's not "free" panels. I mean if you chanbe the rear volume you'll change the horn shape and go on.
The Z layout like wsx, is more tunable. Amano make a different version of wsx using the C layout.

Why no mention of Tapped Horns? In many ways they are a perfect alternative to scoops i.e. similar gain, will work on their own and relatively compact.

To be honest, because I'm a cheap skate.

Started with simple design, hoping for few simple mods, as I fully intend to get at least one built, and know exactly type of money
builders time & 8x4s of ply/mdf cost. smiley22

Also, cab is really intended for purposes where throw and uniform response 45hz-140hz are primary concerns, e.g carnival & outside.

1220H & 636W are my primary dimensions, ideal top cab would be MT122.

Fair enough, you should get the chance to hear a few in a couple of months time at The Palace, more info as it becomes clearer :)

Yes mate, 4 built I believe, heard 2 together so 4 should be good fun. New upper boxes in progress as well but will leave it to Edward to spill the beans.

yeah closest would be a TH. None of the FLH mentioned WILL ever be a scoop alternative.

You will hear the K1 soon, closest FLH you will ever hear to a scoop, but once you hear it you won't want a scoop again.
