Hello, I am currently planning a small sound system build and would like to get some feedback before starting the construction. The system would be composed of: • MANIFOLDED DOUBLE 18” BAND-PASS SUBWOOFER KITEquipped with 2× Eighteen Sound 18NLW9601 • WSV2-212 Kick / Mid-TopEquipped with:• HOQS WG6 dual 1.4” horn• 2× HOQS HF143N 1.4” compression drivers• Either 2× HOQS N123 12” Mid Frequency Drivers, 2× BMS 12N820 12” Neodymium Midbass Drivers, or 2× Beyma 12P80ND/V2 12” Low-Mid Frequency Drivers (I am currently undecided between these three options) My main concern is not only the sub itself, but the overall system coherence. I would like to know: • Would this sub + kick combination work well together in practice?• Is the overlap between the Dual 18 band-pass and the WSV2 likely to be smooth around the 80–120Hz region?• Is there a risk of a noticeable gap or weak punch due to the band-pass nature of the sub?• Between the HOQS N123 12”, BMS 12N820 12”, and Beyma 12P80ND/V2 12”, which driver would be more suitable in this application considering the WSV2 would also handle midrange duties?• Is this setup reliable for both Dub and Techno use when properly processed? The goal is to achieve a strong infra response while maintaining good kick impact without adding a dedicated kick bin. Any feedback regarding the reliability and real-world performance of this combination would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! Tom.k
