I need an advice to change driver in oldschool Martin SB115.
For now, they are load with JBL E140. What driver would fit and give them more power from 80hz to 250hz ?

so are these intended to be now used as kick only?

if so you could start by making the rear chamber smaller, and find a driver with a little bit higher fs

The driver that occupied these bins the most was the Gauss 4580 which later became the 5840 when it switched from Alnico to Ceramic. Any good horn loaded speaker will be ok. They generally reckoned to be good for 60hz. We made hundreds in the day. Always had a soft spot for this cab because it was really quite iconic and represented the beginning of horn load PA systems as we know them today.

Peace and goodwill to all speaker builders
