2x15 kick cab design

Metaphoricly Tony not physicaly! Tbh there not that big, much smaller than what you'd desiogn lol...damn those bs1200 are big and bloody heavy. I think cabs are like a women tits, the bigger, fuller and more pumped up they are the better the end resault smiley20

lol..... i must say the kick cabs ben is selling can be used as sub as well, they happily play down to 40hz ish and would work going straight to the tops. These have been run from 120hz to 150hz 5 way, and 90hz to 200hz 3 way........ they are a very versatile bin. not sure on the origins of these cabs, they could be of a turbo sound design, they are all so not dis-similar to the old fane design, layout is near the same, but size of the cab is very different.....

how did you get 104 for 1 x driver?

i simmed it using akabak first, then done a quick transfer to horn resp, so people could have a play. so the plott shown is from akabak..... but yes i see what you mean. hr predicts less spl, than akabak... Ill re look at the script when i get 5...... the plott is of one driver only......

I guess should be a classic short bandpass horn. I wonder what could happen if the vtc duct shoud be modeled narrower but with same volume.

this was one of those designs i kind of forgot about, this is an updated version changing vtc to a narrower throat but same volume.....



plus a few other minor changes, the sim is of 1 single 15 driver only.......

105 must be for half space, you won't be getting 105 for full space
