I have just got a couple of BMS 8" co-axials for steve_b on this forum and these seem to use the original Tannoy approach of using the cone as part of the waveguide.
All the BMS 12" & 15" co-axials use a seperate waveguide with a pretty large mouth.
I don't know if the L'Acoustics is a BMS I know that they use a lot of their comps.
I have one of the BMS 15" Co-axials on stock which I got for a stage monitor for a guy who subsequently disapeared !!! Never tried it though so no idea as to its sound quality.
