I'm trying to cut down my equipment for small venues so was wondering how a amp would cope if channel a wads fed mid/high frequency and channel b was fed low?
The reason why I ask is to use a 2.1 setup , but it would be 4ohm on one channel and 8ohm on another. Would the amp be fine to run different frequency range and different ohm per channel?
And I would obviously have the low channel set high than the m/t?
Any veiws on a setup like this? Carnt be doing with jumping around my 30kg amps to a small gig when I only need one!

just think of a 2 channel Amplifier as 2 separate Amplifiers which share a common Power Supply.
Likewise for a 4 Channel Amplifier.
With a single 2 Channel Amplifier; you can run Mono Bass through one Channel at the same time as Mono Mid/High through the other.
For Stereo you will need extra channels to split Left and Right Signals to your 'speakers respectively...

Back in the good ol' days, it was popular to run different sections through an Amp, Running bass and then something lighter through the other channel meant there wasn't such a big draw on the power supply.
