The "D" represents dual die which effectively means there are 2 transistors in each case. I do not know if you can just swap then over but even if you could you would essentially halve the power of your amp, throw out all the bias settings etc etc.

Tony is correct. You'd need twice as many BUZ900's to replace the BUZ900D's.
If you're replacing a whole amps worth, check out the Mosfets from Profusion, they are roughly equivalent modern production devices.
