10" Scoop? was created by criga29
Hi Everybody,
I'm new here, I've done quite a few car audio boxes and I've just been given a 10" woofer that has a pretty decent throw on it. My question is can I scale down a mini scooper or a hog scoop to fit a 10" will it sound ok... I Am aware that I need to properly design it etc to get the most out of the woofer but I am going more for a fun project than perfect bass + I've never seen a mini mini scoop.
PS. I'll most likely be using this with a pair of 8" logics.

Sure you can scale down any scoop for 10" driver, just do not except it to produce any sub bass. I have 12" scoops, they are very loud but mostly midbass 60-70Hz and up (old acousto pro hifi-drivers. (Tested also JBL 2206H but these Acousto pro drivers are much better in these scoops, both SPL and goes lower).
What do you mean woofer having decent throw? What driver it is exactly?
