To get all the Xmax, BL and power rating from 4" VC, Roy had to put plenty of coil in the gap..

Side effect is, higher Qes, reduced "no".

Not sure whether I've mentioned this before, but one of my many claims to fame was at a who gig I was involved with at the Royal Albert Hall. I was going round the circle after a sound check and I noticed Barry Gibb from the Bee Gees going into the toilets. He looked straight down at me and gave a big wave. He was having a Spec Savers moment, because he obviously thought I was someone else.
