Martion Bullfrogs

Any ideas how these things look like from the inside? What kind of driver etc?

Regarding your question, I guess I should have specified: this has nothing to do with my job. This is a purely personal project.

I live close to the legendary Clud Der Visionnaere where legends like Ricardo Villalobos were made. In that club they have these Martion speakers that are absolutely gorgeous and I always wanted to have something similar at home.

Also, since I'm a total noob, these look fairly easy to make (from the cabinet side of things).

So yeah, there you go.

Can you help me on my journey?

So, here is a little progress report: I downloaded Sketchup, learned how it works, and designed the outer shell as well as the inner parts of the Martion according to pictures I saw online.



Next up: choosing what coaxial speaker will go inside it. Any suggestions?

What makes a speaker like the 18Sound 15CX1000 ( www.usspeaker.com/eighteensound-15CX1000-1.htm ) better than:

B&C 15HCX76 ( www.usspeaker.com/B&C-15hcx76-1.htm )
or
BEYMA 15CXA400ND ( www.usspeaker.com/beyma%2015CXA400nd-1.htm )

I'm new in the DYI speaker world and I have no idea what brands are good/not good.

NOTE: I will be using them almost exclusively to play electronic music (house/techno)

I have 4 15NCX750's and am very happy with them. Beyma & B&C are also very good. I suggest you get read up on each driver if you want to know which ones are better than the others.

What about the brand you recommended? Why did you recommend that particular one?

I have experience with them and I'm a dealer.....

I definitely will look into the 18sound. Their website is great and their products look really pro.
