want to be able to slide it under a table or turn it on its side and mount a speaker pole
thanks jim-HU
how to insert speaker in this cabinet ...can u send me some pics thanks ..cheer up
The input window of Hornresp with frequency response will be better
This way we can simulate first the drivers we can use.
One of the companies (fane, emenence, or someone) has some old wbin plans for a 12". Dont think its ported, but thats simple to figure out.... Check out tda audio's site, beleive its therekentech wrote: can it be resised for a 12" woofer ?

On second thoughts you cant change the plan as the v bit would then be wrong.....
Frequency: F3= 37Hz -3dB with 1 box, 33Hz -3dB with 4 boxes and 30Hz -3dB with 8 boxes.

How would a thomann 18-500 speaker play in this Mbp 46?
im very confused i dont know cause im gona use glue to build them.
thanks !!! :silly: :silly:
I will look at different designs then.
I've got a few questions.
Are there any plans for a 15" version of this cab?
If so would the Eminence delta 15LF ( www.bluearan.co.uk/index.php?id=EMIDEL15...wsemode=manufacturer ) work in this cab, would be using them as stand alone bass until i can get some dedicated subs to take over the low freq.
Also im new to all this so im not the most confident of builders so is there anyone here I could ask a few questions on the assembly of the cab/ reading the plans etc, it would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks
Mikkel

the plans are difference between 15" n 18" is not the same plan

the parameter of drv about fs=40-50 qts=0.3-0.8 vas=140-200 litre will work fine with this cab. please u looking for i can sim for u agian.
t.geessounds wrote: thanks what kick bin would u recomend for these driver???have them already
t.geessounds think that the tapped is suitable for ur drivers more than kick bin.
joeysub wrote: cubo and the mbp-46 are different animals!
the cubo is a sub and sounds good below 100hz and has good efficiency at those frequencies!
where as the mbp-46 is an allround bass cab and plays comfortably upto 150hz, it can play down to the low 40s but has high efficiency in the kick region (70hz-150hz).
hard the compare them as they're most efficient in different regions of the hz scale!
thanks joe helps to explain, yes the sound are very different. cant compare them. many people in thailand built der cubo und mbp46 but more than 50 from 100 built the 15 mbp46 after i posted on thai forum. cubo is best the same, a friend only played 2 boxes in party(because after finish 2). he said very happy with the soft sound. friends i sim der 15mbp46 and compare 2 drvs . please see the graph below. smiley4

if u have and don;t want to share them.. please make a print screen of Group Delay, Phase Response, SPL Response 1m/1w and Cone Displacement at 1w for this woofer radian-tech.com/pdf/Radian%20L128402.pdf
Thanx a lot guys !
nobody build this cab ? how does it sound ? Phase response, Group delay... this are important parameters of the cab...
This cab is pretty simple to sim, but hr isn't very accurate for this type of cab because you can't set the port distance from ground.kentech wrote: did anyone built this cab because nobody posted pics with this build....
have u got the data for HornResp for this bin ?
Thanx.
