Again I'm low on money but, if I can get a 4 chan or even 6 chan if be more than happy! Soo you're saying it would be better to have an amp for the subwoofers and an amp for the highs and mids?

Do you know if an amp distributes the wattage to each speaker equally? E.g if you have two 800w subs and one 700w would it send 800w to the 700w therefore making it sound distorted?

always have matching speaker drivers for the matching cabs you have. dont mix and match driver in your subs. keep them all the same! your'll be upset wen it "...never quite sounds rite..."

What about for different bins? E,g horns have one driver and cyclopses another type?

Okay sweet, quick question... Say all my speakers add up to 6000w do I need an amp that's about 6000w or does resistance play a big part in it?

wooooo... easy fella!
ok if you have 2 drivers that are 700wrms (@8ohms) each you need a single amp that does 800-1200wrms @ 8 ohm per channel. i say 800-1200w as its nice to have a small amount of "headroom" in your amps so wen you do run the drivers at "full wack" i.e 700w your amps isnt clipping (little red clip light blinking like crazy) as thats not good for either your amp or the drivers.
but if you have 4 drivers at 700w each your gonna need a amp that does 1500-2000w per channel @ 4ohms as wen you hook up 2 8ohm speakers to one channel you take the load seem by the amp down to 4ohms.

Lool I think I get it, thanks a lot I appreciate it! One more thing (for now probably coz I'm gunna need more advice after Xmas) basically can you get an amp that exceeds the amount of watts of all your speakers combined and just reduce the power?
