Here's a picture of a sub we did for cinema as part of a bigger system. It contained 2 JBL 18's. Also shown is one of my last little systems Know as The R2U system. (rapid response unit.)

Some good ol' columns built a local friend who insisted on old fashioned stuff. I convinced him that if I built columns like I had in the '60's, he wouldn't be very happy. So this was my take on Retro speakers. The speakers were 12HPL76's and a DE85 on one of my horns.

And just to prove ASS wasn't always about big heavy boxes, sometimes it was small heavy boxes.

The MX 600 in prototype form was listed previously. This is what it ended up like and in action in the canary Islands.

This was stuff I made in my garage, which is where I started, and by coincidence, is where i've ended up. (different garage) With the help of my old factory if I need it. These were made around '72.

Hi Tony, You said somewhere that you built some of the early Court boxes. I just found an old advert for Court/Tannoy Proflex cabs,and they look simillar to the ones in your first picture.
Just wondering if you had a hand in them.

How many boxes have you built over the years.

Hi Mate, Isn't it good being a newbie. Looking back it's hard to remember some of the stuff we did. I sold a good few million quids worth over the years, and in the early times, 90% of want went out, went abroad. This was before they caught on and started to do it themselves. From a contract building point of view, Turbosound were the biggest customer. When we were cooking, we always had around 500 cabs in front of us waiting to done in rotation, and after a while we had to fit Martin Audio in with all the F2 cabs.
At one time we were the biggest manufacturer in Europe for PA. Which was understandable, because everyone came to England for there cabs. I chose a path which meant that people who tookrisks with other peoples money got ahead of me in terms of recognition. I always hated marketing and refused to join in. Apart from the first year in business, I have been the only one in control of what went out. There were never any board room bust ups for me, because there was no one to have them with.
Regarding output, the number would be approaching 100,000. At my biggest. I had 18 people on production, and I was always one of them. I could go on, but I don't want anyone to start glazing over and droping off. More later perhaps.
