Here's a photo that should be included. These were built for our college Ian a while back. The significance of these is that the cabs were part of the first serious A.S.S. system dating from 1980.

Dave, the significance of this handle is that it changed a lot of ideas about accessories. We used to buy plastic bar handles 1000 at a time and one day it dawned on me that I should not be cutting holes in wood and filling them up with plastic. This handle was the first of its kind. Others soon followed.

Remember them pics form SP a year or so back. Left me drooling then.

How many of them have you got JBL?

A friends band about 1990 had the ASS concert system which i believe they are from. 2 pairs of the bins, 1 pair of the 2x12 long throw, a pair of large horns and some bullets i beleive. This was all before i understood anything about sound and systems. I'd never heard of ASS before but was shocked by the punch and clarity of the system. It looked immense. Always wanted the same setup that i remember.

@ Tony. Are the ASS badges still available?

Hi Rockin...well 12 of those actual bass cabs,or 18 in totalif you include the vaguely similar Martin 215`s version(which Tony probually built for Martin anyway).

Yes,good call...badges Tony? im still missing 4.
