As mentioned before I would also like to know what spl you can expect from a cubo 18 extended loaded with a pd1850?

Right know i have two old pd1850 horns which i consider dumping to build a pair of cubo's for the drivers instead, but how much spl will i loose?

Kind regards Christian Ahm

About 3 - 4 dB above 50 - 60 Hz. You will gain SPL below 50 Hz.

Personally I think that a comparison between the Cubo 18 and 1850 horn, would favor the 1850 for larger distances/crowds and for music that doesn't need much below 50 Hz. Cubo 18 for listening up close/ medium range and music styles with deep bass such as jungle, dubstep and drum'n bass, hiphop, etc.

Rog stated on his website that the 1850 horn is designed/complete in a cluster of 4. Cubo 18 was designed to be stand alone.

If there was a true neo version of the PD 1850, I would build and sell Cubo 18's for sure.

Best regards

This would be a mistake as the dimensions of the cab are only suitable for the 18" driver to get the desired responce. Just Make a 15" cab as Harry says!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@MarjanM and Bitzo: Those are both very decent drivers. Though both not entirely a true PD1850 neo as ment.

I'm building as we speak ;)

Best regards

Cubo
