new toys- now with bowls

it's in a workshop without too many neighbours which helps. we took the size and shape from the driver, the magnet is about the same width as the recommended cutout diameter for reflex loading so a tube was almost the perfect shape. i'll get a pic this afternoon [img]smileys/smiley1.gif[/img]

limmer is the brand. more info here. although admittedly, not that much more info.

I understand now. A Dutch jobby. A bit Turboish I think, but it looks like a well made unit.

It has been done... I think Dom did it ages ago... with the limmer part rotatable so you couldstack the cabs horizontal or vertical.

they are tres cool, up there with the porn lights. i was thinking of doing a poor mans version with a mt121 flare with the limmer 042 on top. the one thing about dom's is that the phase plug on the 12 is pretty much superfluous as the limmer goes down to 500Hz.

i don't have my cable to get photos off my phone but the cables now run into the back bowls and the cabs are now a rather fetching orange. just got to fit the speakon, horn and crossover and it's good to go [img]smileys/smiley4.gif[/img]

edit: after puting them both next to each other it occurred to me that the splay angle is long way from 75deg. yep i'm a muppet, we'll just have to splay em.

thanks, we certainly think so. the paint job's a bit iffy, we could only get one coat on due to time constraints but no one will notice tonight. [img]smileys/smiley1.gif[/img]
