I wonder if maybe these cabinets would work with my RCF L15P530's. I've been meaning to build a box for them anyways. EBP is a little low, though.

I just found this thread and it looks like a great read. Good stuff!

This will be interesting to see how it turns out. I'll be powering it with a crown CE2000.
Cheers!

I found these specs instead:g-sound wrote: I have a driver with specs like this is to be used?.ACR15500 PLATINUM spec:Size:15 Inch / 38.1 CmCone Material:Black Paper CoatingEdge:ClothImpedance:8 OhmPower Capacity:200 WattMaximum Power:400 WattMagnet Weight:64.05 OzFrequency Response:31 Hz - 6 KHzSPL 1W / 1M:94 dBVCØ:6.05 Cm / 2.4 InchWeight:5320 Gr / 159.6 OzFlux Density:10100 GaussQts:0.5Vas:304.56Mounting Depth:151 mm.Thanks

Electical Factor Qes 0.67

Do you have an older version? Anyway, it looks like both sets of T/S-parameters are suitable (tho somewhere upon the upper edge), however Xmax isn't quoted on both occasions, so it's difficult (not to say impossible) to say how much power these drivers would handle.
@t.geessounds: Thanks!

I just finished one up and I'm feelin' ya.
Before Cubo, by lows were "BAAAAHHHHHHHMMMM, BAAAAAHHHMMMMMM, BAAAAAAHHHMMMMM".
Now it's, " POOOOOMMMMM POOOOOMMMMM POOOOOOMMMMMMM"- much more what I was looking for. Of course the speaker I'm using is a low/mid type so it's not going super super low, but for me it's necessary at this point. I'll get an 18 when I really need a lot of lows.
This box is WAY (!) more efficient than a reflex enclosure, which is what I usually use. I'm running a Crown CE2000 to my setup and it's doing just fine- on only one channel. To get this kind of sound out of a reflex cabinet, it would definitely have to be something bridged.
I'll post a couple build pics.
Already planning on a second build in the very near future (next week).
PROPS!
