I'm debating between a Cubo 12 vs the 18sound 12lw1400 compact bandpass. Both are pretty small in with the cubo 12 slightly smaller.
What will get louder? If someone can simulate cubo 12 with eminence 3012lf VS.18sound 1 2lw1400 bandpass.
Thanks in advance

When both are loaded with the 12LW1400, Cubo 12, will be 2 - 3 dB louder above 55 Hz, the 18Sound BP will be louder below 55 Hz, down to about 35 - 40 Hz. The Cubo loaded with the 3012LF will be 3 - 4 dB louder from 60 Hz and up.
For an amplifier up to about 500 W the 3012LF will be a good, efficient choice, on high power levels the 12LW1400 will give a better performance.
Best regards
Cubo

Hello Cubo!
I like the Cubo 12 very, very good.
I would like to build a small PA at home in my garage and would like to use 2x Cubo 12 for it.
The driver "Mivoc AW3000" is very cheap to get in Germany and I would like to use it in Cubo 12.
Can you tell me if he would fit?
Here the TSP
fs 27Hz
Qms 4.1
Qes 0.33
Qts 0.31
VAS 97l
Bxl 14.1Tm
SPL 93dB
Thank you in advance
Best regards!
Edit: Have just in the Post #13539 seen that it concerns the same driver and the TSP fit with the Mivoc AW3000.
I'm glad that I can build my two cubo

If you want to build a small PA at home/ in the garage, I would advise to build Cubo 12 Mod. It goes lower and has a flatter response with the Mivoc AW3000, which is a decent driver overall but is designed for lower tunings, hence the choice for Cubo 12 Mod over Cubo 12, the latter which has a higher tuning.
If maximum SPL is of consideration Cubo 12 would be the better choice.
Best regards
Cubo

@Cubo 15
Thanks Cubo for this recommendation. Do I understand this in the right manner? The Cubo Mod has less volume and plays lower? However, I have to say that the Cubo Mod with me unfortunately because of its larger dimensions does not fit into its installation site. I would still try to build the original Cubo 12. I use as my amplifier my 20 year old Yamaha AX-492 stereo amplifier and it has 2 x 120 watts RMS. That's why more efficiency is more important to me. If I put the two cubos down on the floor and directly to the wall, how much Hz can the Cubos play lower? My garage is about 40 square meters large.
Best regards

@Bigden: Those are looking good!
@Lonelybabe69: Cubo 12 Mod has indeed less output and plays lower, the cabinet volume is the same as Cubo 12 but at different dimensions. These are 2 Cubo 12's stacked with 88 W each:
By just moving the system inside you'll get an appreciative increase in "pressure" felt. And a lot more, if you put the Cubo's against a solid wall, or in a corner.
Best regards
Cubo

Hi!
Thank you Cubo for her patience and excellent support.
If I build the Cubo 12 from 18mm plywood or MDF, can I build the stiffener like TDA audio?
Is there any disadvantage with stability or pressure or sound?
Here is the picture album from TDA-CUBO
