There is a problem, peoples idea of what sounds right/good is subjective.
One of the biggest problems I have with my wifes chosen art of showing ponies is the judging. Some judges like certain styles, certain bone, certain colours. Other judges like the opposite, it's the make up of their personality. A show jumper on the other hand either knocks fences down or not.
Same goes for sound, it's not and can never be a fixed science, you can only make it sound right to you. So adding tiny bits to a design that's , "Played out" can and does make a difference to the individual. IE: Making it flat in respose is seen as correct, sounds benign to me, I like spikes at the frequecies that make me buzz, etc etc......

Yes. All scoops (except HOG) descend from either the Fane, Eminence or JBL.
If enough people hadn't tinkered with the designs, extending their shelf life, we wouldn't have Big manufacturers desiging drivers primarily for scoops.
